A designer’s world is full of mindset switches - the ideation mindset, the user advocate mindset, the systems thinking mindset and so on. Switching into a researcher mindset perfectly balances my explorer mindset with structure and process. It helps with thorough investigation, sophisticated analysis and relevant abstraction. It provides the stable foundation for our journeys.
I have a great passion for user research and I've been diving into various contexts to observe, listen and learn what people in that situation really need and value. I conducted research throughout the entire design process, from initial insight-gathering and problem-framing to evaluating concepts and testing solutions. In academia I focused my research on human-technology interaction and tangible interfaces. At the AI research lab I explored near-future visions for smart cities, smart homes, mobility, energy and health services.
I bring an intense curiosity about people and their challenges and underlying factors, paired with idealism and the desire to improve people's lives. I am fully committed to investigate from diverse angles, illuminate perspectives, and unfold opportunities. I evangelize the value of user research and human-centricity in any given environment.
